ISBerne Online offers full and part-time study for High School students. Outstanding academics are coupled with support, counseling, community, and online tools to help teens identify their goals and chart their own paths. Full-time students graduate with a High School diploma from the International School of Berne. Each student benefits from a team of subject-specific teachers, academic coaches and counselors. Learning Coaches can expect to spend roughly 1 hour a day monitoring a student’s progress and keeping them on track.

As a fully accredited international school, ISBerne Online grants an accredited U.S. High School Diploma accepted by universities and colleges around the world.  Acceptances at top-tier U.S. institutions and European universities is possible with additional exam results and credentials (i.e. SAT, TOEFL).

To graduate and receive the ISBerne High School diploma, students must complete 24 credits in the following subject areas. Each full-year course earns one full credit:

  • Language A (English) – four credits

  • Language B (World Language) Non mother tongue, non-English – four credits

  • Math – four credits

  • Science – four credits, including two lab sciences

  • Humanities – four credits

  • Health – 0.5 credit

  • Physical Education – 0.5 credit

  • Arts – one credit

  • Technology – one credit

  • Electives – one credit

Total Required Credits: 24

A student must study FULL-TIME for their final year and complete a minimum of 6 of the 24 required credits required to be eligible for an ISBerne Online diploma.

For full-time students, ISBerne Online will consider accepting credits earned at other institutions when an official transcript(s) has/have been received. Transfer of credits from a public school or accredited private institution will be considered on an individual basis.
